Please open the Christmas card first. Then,  we will continue our Captain John Smith adventure.  If you complete the adventure, have some fun at Primary Games using our computer skills and playing Christmas games.  There are several advertisements on this page so practice using your Internet safety skills. Week of May 23: 3rd & 4th Grade

This week is one of maybe two more opportunities to complete your 3-D commercials using Kid Pix 3D.  Your goal this week is to have all slides completed with backgrounds and characters, to have your scripts completed and practiced, and to begin adding sounds and voice-overs to the final project.  If all goes well, you will have the opportunity to present your commercials to the class and your teacher.  I also plan to burn DVD's for each of you if time allows.  HAVE FUN!

Hurray!  This week you will go on a field trip to an art museum.  However, you will not need to take the bus.  Instead you will travel using your imagination and the Internet.  Please click on the link below to begin your adventure.

Using your acquired technology skills, please continue with your commercials.  Make sure to follow the steps.  1. Create a product. 2. Write a script for your commercial. 3. Practice your script. 4. Use Photo Booth to practice your acting.  4. Film Commercial.

Please click on the link below to watch a video about the history of the St. Patrick's Day Parade.  While watching the video, type four facts that you have learned on a Word document.

The 1st and 2nd graders have done an amazing job learning how to use Word over the last few weeks.  This week students will practice their math skills by going to Cool Math for Kids and Math Arcade.  Have a great week!

Week of January 31: 3rd and 4th Grade

During the last few weeks students have worked hard word processing and inserting tables into their document. Great job 3rd and 4th graders!  This week students need to spend some time working on their keyboarding skills.  For the first part of class, students will use Dance Mat Typing.  Half way through, students will try their typing skills using a fun place called Free Typing Games.

Week of January 24: 1st and 2nd Grade

In order to continue the introduction to typing and formatting, using Word, students will type two sentences with the correct size, font, and in the colors shown on the big screen.  Then students will continue to practice their keyboarding skills using Dance Mat Typing.  Finally, students who complete their work will have free time during the last ten minutes of class.

This week you will demonstrate your understanding tables using Word.  Using Word, create a table that will work to show the collected data about students' favorite sports. When you complete this task, use one of the web-based sites to practice your math skills.

Week of January 17 : 1st and 2nd Grade

This week 1st and 2nd graders will be introduced to Microsoft Word.  Students will learn how to open Word, change the font size, change the color of the letters, and type a sentence.  When this introductory lesson is complete, students will have 10-15 minutes to practice other computer skills.

Week of January 10: 1st and 2nd Grade

This week you will use your math and thinking skills to play the games from the link below.  These math/logic games will allow you to practice your computer skills as well.  Fifteen minutes before the end of class, please practice you typing skills.
